Software built by someone who cares that it actually works for your business.

I build apps, tools and platforms for founders and businesses, and because I’ve run my own, I help you make the calls along the way: what to build first, what to skip, what will cost you later.

You talk to one senior person who has been the founder, the CTO and the engineer. Not a pair of hands waiting for a spec, someone who will push back when the plan is wrong. Kindly, but clearly.

Who I work with

Find yourself here.

Four ways people usually work with me. If you sit somewhere between them, that is fine too.

Small and medium businesses

Internal tools, portals, integrations

You run on spreadsheets, manual steps and one tool that nearly fits. I replace that with software your team actually wants to use.

Funded startups and founders

MVPs, v2 rebuilds, feature delivery

You need working product in front of users, built well enough that it will not have to be thrown away in six months.

Agencies needing a subcontractor

White-label delivery, overflow capacity

A senior pair of hands under your brand. I take the technical work, hit the dates, and stay invisible to your client.

Ongoing support

Maintenance, on-call, steady roadmap

Software already live and nobody looking after it. A fixed monthly block for fixes, updates and small improvements.

What I do

Four ways to work together, one standard of work.

Build and guide

Most clients start here

An engineer who thinks like a co-founder, not a pair of hands waiting for a spec.

Most founders hire a developer and still have to make every hard call alone, what to build first, what to cut, whether a feature is worth the cost. I build the thing and help you decide what the thing should be, so you are not making product and business decisions you are not equipped for.

I can do this because I have been the founder and the CTO, not just the coder, with my own money on the line. And I will tell you honestly when something is not worth building. Talking you out of the wrong work is part of what you are paying for.

Retainers

Ongoing time each month

A set block of days each month for maintenance, small features and the steady stream of decisions that come up once something is live. Predictable cost, same person every month, no ticket queue.

Short, defined work

Days, not months

One integration, one migration, a stubborn bug, a performance problem, or an honest audit of what you have before you invest more in it. Small pieces of work done properly and closed out.

Rescue work

Inherited codebases

A project stalled, the previous developer gone, nobody sure what runs where. Admitting it is stuck is the hardest part, and you have already done it by looking. I read the code, tell you plainly what state it is in and what your options are, then get it moving again.

Geospatial health-analytics platform

Selected work - past engineering roles / NDA

Geospatial health-analytics platform for UK

A mapping and analytics platform used by major pharmaceutical clients to study disease prevalence and prescribing patterns across regions of the whole UK, aggregating GP-level data by geography and demographic. The hard part was spatial querying at scale: proximity and coverage calculations that fell over on real data volumes, which I restructured around PostGIS indexing so regional analysis ran in seconds instead of by hand. Built with Django, PostGIS and Vue.

Supply-chain simulation & optimization

Selected work - past engineering roles / simulation & optimization

Supply-chain simulation & optimization engine

A discrete-event simulation framework, built in Python from scratch, that models a global supply chain from a client's own data. They can ask 'what happens if X', a disrupted route, a new supplier, a demand spike, and simulate the outcome before committing to it. On top of the simulation, a genetic algorithm searches for Pareto-optimal trade-offs across competing objectives, cost, speed, resilience — surfacing the options a spreadsheet never could. Built in Python.
